Flyover ruined section

Product Code: FLY/R

This 28mm scale model represents a ruined section of a concrete flyover, overpass, free-way, or bridge. As with all our models this has highly textured surfaces. In this case the surface reflects rough cast concrete. In some places the surface has spoiled away to expose the aggregate and reinforcing bars. We’re not sure of the cause but perhaps the nuclear explosion 20km away or the recent HE gunfire had something to do with this? On top of this general decay, the bridge or flyover has been hit with such an explosive force that chunks have been ripped away and all that is left is rubble held together with strands of reinforcing bar and good luck. Two can be used to form either side of a gap in the road.

The individual ruined flyover piece is 110mm long max with the ruination commencing at about 80mm from the complete end. It has walls either side, which are 20mm high on the inside and are superbly suited to rest weapons on! Alternative column sets are available. The clear width of the bridge is 96mm and can accommodate our different, replaceable road surfaces if required. However, the road surface already has a rough texture, which is highly suited to painting with a dry-brush technique. The overall width is 120mm.

There is also a complete version of this model which we recommend is glued to these ruined sections. Better still would be to do this to two long sections and by supporting the bridge in the normal position (ie every 290mm) then the ruined sections can be cantilevered over a collapsed section of road or free-way.

The cast metal crash barrier models, which are available separately, can also be mounted on top of the parapet. Also part of this series, are columns, which are available separately and are wide enough to support one end of 2 sections each so that: 3 are required to support 2 sections, 4 are required to support 3 sections etc...

Any figures displayed in the photos are not included in the price.
